Wow, I really have a hard time keeping this thing updated. So here is the latest! Brody and Olivia are getting so big! Olivia is finally walking around more on her own! It's so cute because her legs are so small compared to her long body, well short, but it's funny to watch. She also is a severe drama queen! I have never met a little woman before! She loves to love and loves to hate! And you know when you're the bad guy! But when it comes to her brother, you don't mess. She loves that guy more than anything. They are so great to each other! I wonder how long that will really last...
Brody has really had a great summer. Spencer's sister Anna is getting married in Aug. so the rush has been on to finish their backyard for the reception. Brody has been there the whole time to make sure he got his turn to manage the tractor. His Papa always lets him sit in there with him while he works and Brody has the best time. He is growing like a weed and is really starting to become a little more independent. Love my kids!
Spencer and I just got away for the weekend to the Zermatt Resort in Midway. I had no idea that it even existed. My dad really took care of us by giving us some vouchers so we got to stay for really cheap! It was nice to remember how much I really love Spencer. He is such a great husband. I love how much he loves the mountains. He is so sincere with his actions towards me and really makes me feel like a queen. Spencer, you're the best I could have asked for and I look forward to the many get aways we will have in the future together! I love you! It was fun to come home to the kids and hearing Brody say, "Mom, home!" Melts me heart!
Work for Spencer and I has been really crazy! I work 4 days a week at Reflectionz Salon and Spa in Alpine and REALLY love it there. I work with amazing people who really love each other. I love that I have made new friends that I will never forget. They are great examples on how we all should work together! I am so grateful for the day I walked in there! It's also that time of year again when I get to do something I love... Coed Softball! My brother and I coach a team every year and I love it! Spencer is actually going to take time out of his schedule to play with us this year. I am so excited! Let me know if there are any women that want to play... we can always use a backup!
Spencer's business is really starting to grow! I love listening to all the progress he is making! He always comes home at the end of the night excited to see what the next day will bring! Its going to be a slow but worthwhile process! Thanks for all your hard work!

Birthday Weekend!

Olivia had her birthday on Sat. She is 1 and I can't believe it! She seems too small to me for being a 1 year old! Brody's birthday is today, and I'm not kidding, the terrible two kicked in right away! They had a birthday party yesterday at the park with all their family and had a blast with cup cakes and squirt guns, thanks Becky :) We also had some pictures done for their birthdays, but I only have a few ready, so here is a taste! Thanks to everyone who made our weekend a great one (or two)!

Olivia's Surgery

So, Liv had her surgery on Monday of this past week and she did so great! We got to Primary Childrens at 6 am, can I tell you how hard that was for me, and she had a check up done to make sure she wasn't sick or anything before they put her under. She was good to go! We waited about an hour in this room with all these other kids that had things going on that morning as well. When they finally came to get her, my emotions got the best of me, but whats new. We got to walk with her down this LONG hallway, I really don't think it was that long but it seemed to be that way, then the Dr took her from me. I handed her her most favorite stuffed animal, which by the way is a purple dragon, and she rubbed her face in it and forgot all about me! I cried all the way to the waiting room! It was so hard to let my little baby go and not know EXACTLY what was going on in that room! We waited about an hour or so then a call came into the room. The lady at the desk asked us to sit in a private room so the Dr could come talk to us. I was so scared! All the other parents waiting had their Dr talk to them right in front of everyone. We waited about ten minutes then he finally came in. Turns out he just doesn't like to share your news with everyone else! He told us that what they removed from her head was a hemangioma tumor. Its a cluster of veins that can grow very rapidly, which happened to her. He took out all that he could see, but there is a small possibility of it growing back. It also left a depression on her head so we have had to keep her all wrapped up this past week so it doesn't fill up with fluids. She was really cute with her bandages! For just having surgery she was pretty happy! I am so grateful for all of you who kept us in your prayers! She is doing great and I can't wait to see my sweet little Liv with a new look! I can't get my photos to upload, but I will get them on here asap! They are so funny!

Whats new?

So, here is what has been going on in our lives. Olivia is nine months old! She is actually starting to get a little bigger :). We had her nine month check up and she is doing ok. Her iron is low and she is kind of yellow, but we really won't know for sure what is causing it until we have her surgery. They are going to be removing a lump on her forhead above her left eye on Feb 23. Then they will do some labs on it to determine what it is exactly. It may be causing her to be having these other problems. So we will find out soon! She is so cute though. She is going through this weird phase where she is making incredible faces, as shown! She is crawling around like crazy and finally sitting up on her own. She is such a mommy's girl!

Brody is also doing well. He is 21 months old! Its crazy how fast they grow up. He is talking so much! It is so weird how one day they can just put sentences together. He is getting so big I can't keep up! His new thing lately is he can jump and get BOTH feet off the ground! He also loves the progressive commercials, I have no idea why, but he laughs every time. As he gets older he is really letting his personality show. He is so special.

As for Spencer and I, we are just tring to be the best parents we can. I am working at a salon in Saratoga Springs a few nights a weeks and Saturdays. I really love it! I didn't think I would ever love going to work. It's so fun! Spencer is working for a company called Visual Creative Media, digital advertising, and it is really starting to pick up. I am so proud of him. He is trying so hard to make it so I don't have to work. But after being at the salon, I don't think I will quit when I can :) Hopefully I can get myself to start doing this more often!

I know I stink at this! It has been super crazy at the Lott house. I know its not much but we are all doing great. I just don't have much time to really get into it! Love you all and will post again soon with better updates!

Just a Quick Update!

So, I really find it hard to find time to post anything lately... It's 3:00 in the morning and I can't sleep so this is a good time! Brody is getting so big! Its crazy! He is trying so hard to talk! His attempts at sentences are so funny. Some of his common spoken words consist of Mommy, Dada, monkey, cookie, cracker and ba ba and many more (just can't think of them all). It's really cool to see how little kids start to associate words with the actually item. I couldn't find his shoes the other day so Spencer asked him where they were and Brody took Spencer to his laundry hamper. Spencer was a little confused the he looked in and there they were! He knew what they were and where he put them! I sure am one proud mommy!

And can't forget my Little Olive! She is so precious! She is still really little, 5 months old and just over 12 lbs! Yes, I do feed her. Her pediatrician says she is growing on her curve so she is just fine! The poor girl's head is just so big to her body she really can't hold it straight up for a long period of time. It really is fun to just watch her grow, slowly but surely! I did see the other day that she found her toes!

As for Spencer and I, nothing too exciting. Spencer is just finding his niche at his job and is really starting to love it (I think). I am still watching my niece during the week, but only to the end of October. I sure will miss her. I am just finishing up with my softball I have played this fall. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays... Never doing that again! My life has just been crazy! But I sure did love it! Hopefully I won't wait so long for my next post.... Love y'all!

I found this picture of my niece, Alexa, on my sisters facebook and I had to show everyone how darn cute she is. She is two and a half and is full of personality! She calls me Caca! She loves to play with all her little cousins and is so sweet with all of them. Mandy, you really do have an angel! We sure love her!

Our little Brody has been cutting teeth this week (again). Can I just tell you, we are miserable parents! No sleep and no way to really help the little guy. Lots of slobber! We had about three nights where he was in so much pain he couldn't even fall asleep, he just crawled all over me and cried for literally two hours! It all started on Sunday with a fever and got worse from there. Friday was the first day that he went down for his afternoon nap without screaming himself to sleep. For all those parents who have babies without their canines.... they are by far the worst! Its rough for a while, but the pain does go away eventually. And on top of it all there is a lot of Mommy-Baby cuddly time!! Oh, and another secret... I used lavender oil to rub his feet with. It is supposed to help relax them when they don't know what else to do and it really worked great!

My Best Friends...

So, I decided that my new best friends are those I see and talk to every day... And they are all under two! I stay home with my two babies Brody and Liv, and watch my niece Jordyn everyday. I talk to them like they understand me. Sometimes Brody really helps me out with my drama. They are all great listeners! I can't wait until my kids can actually talk back with me! Well, sort of....

My sweet little Brody was sick last night! I hope it is just a 24 hour flu. He woke up at about 1 am. Spencer and I were still awake so we got him out of bed and sat him on the couch with us. It was so funny because he was just sitting there staring into the dark and was sitting as straight as a board (great posture!). So we took a few snap shots of him. Brody, I hope you feel better soon little guy! We love you!

Our Trip to Hollywood, CA!

So Spencer and I went on a trip to Hollywood to go see the great Mariah Carey preform on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show! We were only there for a short time but we had a blast! I made sure I found Tom Cruise's star because I love him and so funny I ran into a homeless guy I saw on Keeping up with the Kardashian's. He was sweet and took a pic with me! I love CA and can't wait for another vacation there in the future. My only beef I have with the trip is I couldn't take a camera to in to see Mariah. But let me tell you she is definitely one beautiful woman! I love you for going with me Spence, thanks for all the fun we had!

Lions, Tigers and Bears.... Oh My!

We took our first family trip to the zoo last week! It was great! I thought Brody may have been a little too young to really enjoy it but boy did he surprise me! He loved all the animals and made his best attempt to sound like them! The best part was when we walked past a little bunny and he just got right up to the window and started freaking out. He loved it, he was so excited to see it right at his level!

Something Spencer and I have joked about is that our little one, Olivia, looks just like a baby orangutan. I took a picture of one at the zoo and I have to say, I think I was right!

We had a lot of fun with my dad, sisters and brother. We love you guys!

Last weeks adventures!

After all the Fourth of July fun last weekend it was time to return to our normal schedules. But Brody didn't seem to want the fun to stop. I think he just played for hours when he finally had it and fell asleep. I found him sleeping in the most random places! In the first picture here he had just woke up from falling asleep in his toys... it was so cute. Then the next day I was making his lunch and came back to him sleeping in his high chair. I stay so entertained with this boy.

Olivia is getting so big! Well I guess not so big just bigger than she was :). At her two month appointment this week she is only in the 5% category. She weighs about 9 lbs 10 oz. She is really starting to notice all of her surroundings and loves to be sang to. She makes the cutest sounds when you sing to her!

Brody just loves his sister! We got a new jogging stroller that fits both kids. We decided to test it out on Friday night and as soon as both of them were in there Brody just wanted to hold Liv's hand and kiss her on her forehead (his kisses are so funny, open mouth and tongue out). She just cried... Brody bugged her and I think she is a little too small to fit correctly. It will be nice when she does fit!

Spencer is working his butt off and I just stay at home with the babies. So it's nice when we all get to spend time together. After our walk on Friday night I got the most precious picture of Brody and Spence. I just about lost it when I saw them walking in the sunset holding hands. My boys are the greatest. I love those tender moments! Hope this next week is as exciting as the last!

Olivia's Blessing Day!

Today was so great! Spencer had the honor of blessing our second baby, Olivia. It was such a tender moment to see daddy holding his little girl in his arms and giving her a blessing from our Heavenly Father. I am so grateful to have a husband who takes his priesthood seriously and loves his Savior so much to be able to influence our children in such a positive way! The spirit in our home has really changed with the addition of Olivia. There definitely is something special about her! The experience today was perfect. Thanks Spencer, we love you! :)

4th of July with the Lotts

We had a fun day yesterday celebrating the 4th. We started out by going swimming in our pool, then had a great BBQ at grandma and grandpa Lott's house, and ended the day with fireworks at Thanksgiving point. Brody loved the fireworks. We had a fun day!!
